On leave from work...and loving it

Don't you just love being on leave?

Away from all the madness of work. For me, it's being away from a busy radiology department in a teaching hospital without any ultrasounds to do, radiographic images to look at, CT & MR scans to report, mammograms, doctors begging for CT/MRI time slots when you have already stretched your list to the max, meetings to attend, lectures to give, tutorials to take, checking masters students' case reports, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla.............!

Woke up at 6-ish am as I usually do. Took my own sweet time, lounging around, checking my facebook account, reading my (measly)blog stats from nuffnang & MyBlogLog, checking online local newspapers. At 7.30am went down and had a breakfast of sausages and a mug of coffee. Ahhhhh...bliss! After a shower, sat down and I was back at my laptop surfing the net.

At 10am, got dressed to do some banking (Not that I was totally undressed after the shower, just not properly dressed to go out of the house). Did my banking around Sri Damansara and MidValley Megamall. Had lunch at the top level food court in MidValley Megamall - at one of my favourite stalls there - the stall selling Chinese economy rice. I had rice with Japanese bean curd, fried mixed vegetables and fried chicken with garlic /spring onions. Yummy.

Got back home, rested for a bit and went to the Sri Damansara mosque after that for Friday prayers. After that, I came back home and got back at the computer and surfed the net & did some internet banking until I decided to make this post. Ahhhhhhh....surfing the net with my trusty laptop while watching TV - something I don't get to do everyday. Sure feels good to leave work behind for a while!

Received this SMS joke from a colleague:
New Durex condom packages carry this sign - "HEALTH MINISTER'S WARNING: LOOK OUT FOR HIDDEN CAMERAS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT."

Hahahahahahahah! Oh well.
Anyways, forwarded it to some people who I think might appreciate this kind of thing.

Will be going to Melaka tomorrow to attend Julina's cousin Jason's wedding reception and will be back Monday morning. Gotta start packing tonight!

Have a swell weekend y'all! Ciao!

Amir Fuad.
