Christmas Eve!

On holiday, at last!!!
Woke up early to a breakfast of waffles and sausages. Lepak-ed at home. played a litle piano (learning to play piano - started about 10months ago)-tried to play beauty & the Beast...need a little more practice before I can play the song in full without hesitation.
Then, went to 1-utama for lunch. Had lunch with the family at that fairly new Japanese Buffet place called Shogun. Nice spread, not quite authentically Japanese tho, some Korean dishes (Kimchi, Bulgogi, etc), Some western salads & deserts, local (satay quail), Chinese (sweet & sour fish, fried rice) but myadvice is if you go there, make sure you starve yourself first because there's just soooooooooooo much to eat! Downside is, they jacked up the price for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day(RM59++ for adults and RM 28++ for children) - not sure what is the price on normal days tho.
Then after stuffing myself silly, We headed on to Kizsports where my daughter played there for 2 hours. Then we had tea at this place called "Koko Bistro" in the new wing. I think it is a local chocolate bistro thingy - they even have durian filled chocolates and tongkat ali chocolate drink! Personally tho I found their stuff too sweet for my liking - not creamy or chocolatey like the European chocolate shops I have been to.

Went back home at 5pm. Picked up the car form the car wash, went home and rested.
Mmmmmm I love being on leave.
I'll only be back at work on 3rd jan 2007. Cool, huh?

Ciao!

2007 fast approaching!!!!

It has been a busy 2-3 weeks for me. At work, I am busy with the usual daily stuff plus a lot of people are on leave so in some ways those left behind have to kind of take up the slack so to speak.
Today I was doing mammogram biopsies....and also doing MRI. Thought I would report my MRIs during lunchtome but tiba-tiba I was asked to step in the Teaching Room, where the External Audit done by an auditor from SIRIM was there, of all things, auditing my department. And of course this had to happen when my boss is away in Korea and the acting boss was busy doing some procedure. The department secretary called me up and said something like, " Datanglah Dr Amir, boss tak ada. Acting head sibuk, Dr Amir kan ada experience benda-benda mcm ni?". So reluctantly I went to the room and went through part of the audit. In the afternoon I had a class with Phase 3B Medical students, while being posted to CT Scan. Only managed to report 7 CTs. I think I have about 4-5 more to report. 5-8pm I was doing UMSC, the private wing of UMMC. Tomorrow I'll be doing angiogram in the morning, I'll be handling the radiology-O&G lunchtime meeting (of which i have yet to review the films) and in the afternoon I'll be doing CT's.
And the rest of the week is more of just the same........yucks!
Anyway, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I'll be on leave from Christmas right up till the New Year! Can't wait to have a good rest and just wake up late everyday!

The new maid arrived a few days ago, and she seems rather quiet (baru lagi kot). she is waaayyyy tidier than the previous one.

Ohh on Saturday night, I attended a birthday party at my old friend's house - Fazrin in Sunway Rahman Putra. He bought two bungalows (and joined them at the back. The result...a bloody huge house with a swimming pool, a pool room, a theater with a large screen - TV images projected onto screen from an LCD projector, a nice grand piano, etc, etc, etc. Lovely house, Faz!
Anyway, during the party, my daughter Nana called to say that my son was crying a lot and asked me if I was coming home soon. She said that my son, Hilman was vomiting. I was worried because he started to vomit after he fell down and hit the back of his head on our marble floor. Anyway, that same night, I ended my party early, sent Hilman to UMMC. Anyway, the doctor who attended to him said it was unlikely to be caused by a head inury so we brought him back home. The next day he developed fever and has been slowly recovering since then.
My wife is currently doing her PTK(Kursus Peningkatan Tahap Kecekapan)- this crap courses that we civil servants have to undergo to be eligible for promotions. She's a bit tensed up about it, understandably so, because I was too when I did mine.

Anyway, have been laying off going to the gym since October (first it was fasting month, then it was no maid, now I've got no excuse). Am really looking forward to going back to the gym! I really miss it.

That's all for now.
Ciao!

Wifey discovered my blog!!!!!!!!

It's December!
The end of the year....the time where I usually feel very very very very very very lazy and all I want to do is stay at home/go out...anywhere except work. Alas, I have to cari makan or else my family will only be feeding on my love which I am told does not make your tummy full. Darn!
Anyway...got a few deadlines to meet adn am struggling to keep up with it.
Anyway, my darling adik sayang (a.k.a. my wife), I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this blog and you have discovered it sort of by accident. I hope you enjoy reading this blog. I love you very much. And now, you know where to log on if you want to know something about me that you did not hear from me directly. And don't worry, you won't find out from from this blog whether I'm having an affair or not. Because should I dare to have one, I'll make sure I'll put the details in ANOTHER blog which you will never find(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA).
But seriously..........you know I love you wayyyyy too much to have an affair, right sayang?!?!?!
Anyway, new maid coming next week. Wonder what sort of person she'd be like?
Happy Holidays everybody! Enjoy the holidays with your loved ones! Don't forget to boost our national economy by participating in the Mega Sales. As long it doesn't hurt YOUR economy, that is.
